- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions

- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually mix in the yellow cake mix until a thick dough forms.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to help prevent spreading.
- Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and roll each one in powdered sugar until fully coated.
- Place coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set but centers are still soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with additional powdered sugar if desired before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a bit of lemon or almond extract.
- Chilling the dough ensures the cookies hold their shape.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
