- 6 slices mozzarella cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small saucepan, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley over low heat. Set aside.
- Slice the entire block of rolls in half horizontally without separating them. Spread mayonnaise on both inner sides.
- Layer cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly on the bottom half, then replace the top half of rolls.
- Place the assembled rolls in a greased or parchment-lined baking dish.
- Brush the tops with the garlic butter mixture.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
- Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use room temperature butter to make spreading easier and more even.
- Line the baking dish with parchment paper for easy cleanup and lift-out.
- Add ham, tomato, or jalapeños for extra layers of flavor.
- Reheat leftovers in the oven to maintain crispiness.
