Description

Hokkien Noodles with Chicken is a savory and satisfying stir-fry dish featuring thick yellow noodles, tender chicken, and vegetables tossed in a flavorful soy-based sauce.


Ingredients

  • 400g Hokkien noodles
  • 300g chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup snow peas or bok choy
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Soak or microwave Hokkien noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and onion; sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add chicken slices and cook until browned and fully cooked.
  5. Add carrots and snow peas; stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Add noodles to the pan and toss to combine.
  7. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  8. Stir-fry everything together until evenly coated and heated through.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken with shrimp, beef, or tofu.
  • Add chili sauce for a spicy version.
  • Use pre-cooked Hokkien noodles for quicker prep.
