Description

Holiday Cake Mix Cookie Bars are festive, chewy, and colorful treats made with cake mix and holiday-themed candies. They’re perfect for Christmas, parties, or cookie exchanges.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow or white cake mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup red and green M&M’s or holiday chocolate candies
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, and eggs. Stir until a thick dough forms.
  3. Fold in the M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles if using.
  4. Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
  6. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Use any color candy mix to match different holidays (e.g., pink and red for Valentine’s Day).
  • Do not overbake; bars will continue to set as they cool.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
