Description
These Hot Fudge Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwiches are the ultimate indulgent treat. Featuring rich cookie dough, creamy vanilla ice cream, and warm hot fudge, they’re a dreamy dessert for any chocolate lover.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (heat-treated for safety)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
- 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce, plus more for drizzling
Instructions
- Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in vanilla and milk. Then add heat-treated flour and salt, stirring until well combined.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Divide the dough in half. Press one half evenly into the prepared pan and freeze for 10–15 minutes.
- Spread the softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the chilled cookie dough layer. Drizzle with hot fudge sauce and gently spread it across.
- Flatten the remaining cookie dough on a separate sheet of parchment and lay it over the ice cream layer, pressing gently to adhere.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm. Slice into sandwiches and drizzle with more hot fudge before serving, if desired.
Notes
- For easier slicing, run a sharp knife under warm water before cutting.
- You can use chocolate or coffee ice cream instead of vanilla for a twist.
- To heat-treat flour: microwave it in a bowl for 1–2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, or bake at 300°F (150°C) for 5–7 minutes.
