A creamy and savory spinach dip made with a blend of cheeses, spinach, and flavorful seasonings. Perfect for parties or as an appetizer with chips, bread, or veggies.

- 1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
- 1 packet dry vegetable soup mix (such as Knorr)
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and mayonnaise.
- Add the dry vegetable soup mix and mix well until fully incorporated.
- Stir in the drained spinach, chopped water chestnuts, green onions, and garlic powder.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- If using cheese, mix it in thoroughly.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld.
- Serve chilled with bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- For a healthier version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
- Make sure to squeeze all the excess water out of the spinach for best texture.
- This dip can be served in a hollowed-out round loaf of bread for a fun presentation.
