Description

These Loaded Beef Nachos are a crowd-pleasing, cheesy, and flavor-packed dish featuring seasoned ground beef, melty cheeses, and fresh toppings all layered over crispy tortilla chips. Perfect for parties, game day, or a quick and comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large bag (14 oz) tortilla chips
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup guacamole
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet or prepare your cast iron skillet.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water, stir well, and simmer until thickened. Set aside.
  3. Arrange a layer of tortilla chips in your skillet or baking sheet. Make sure they overlap but don’t pile them too high.
  4. Sprinkle half the cheddar and mozzarella over the chips. Spoon half of the seasoned beef over. Add more chips, then repeat with remaining beef and cheese.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven. Immediately top with diced tomatoes, chopped onions, jalapeños, dollops of sour cream and guac, and a generous sprinkle of cilantro.
  7. Serve hot and fresh, directly from the skillet or transfer to a serving plate.

Notes

  • Use a combination of cheddar and mozzarella for bold flavor and perfect melt.
  • Always add cold toppings like sour cream and guacamole after baking.
  • Broil for the last 1–2 minutes for an extra bubbly cheese top.
  • Layer the ingredients in stages to ensure every chip gets a good amount of toppings.
