Description
These Loaded Beef Nachos are a crowd-pleasing, cheesy, and flavor-packed dish featuring seasoned ground beef, melty cheeses, and fresh toppings all layered over crispy tortilla chips. Perfect for parties, game day, or a quick and comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large bag (14 oz) tortilla chips
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped red onions
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup guacamole
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet or prepare your cast iron skillet.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water, stir well, and simmer until thickened. Set aside.
- Arrange a layer of tortilla chips in your skillet or baking sheet. Make sure they overlap but don’t pile them too high.
- Sprinkle half the cheddar and mozzarella over the chips. Spoon half of the seasoned beef over. Add more chips, then repeat with remaining beef and cheese.
- Bake in the oven for about 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven. Immediately top with diced tomatoes, chopped onions, jalapeños, dollops of sour cream and guac, and a generous sprinkle of cilantro.
- Serve hot and fresh, directly from the skillet or transfer to a serving plate.
Notes
- Use a combination of cheddar and mozzarella for bold flavor and perfect melt.
- Always add cold toppings like sour cream and guacamole after baking.
- Broil for the last 1–2 minutes for an extra bubbly cheese top.
- Layer the ingredients in stages to ensure every chip gets a good amount of toppings.
