Description

A moist and flavorful banana bread sweetened with pure maple syrup and warm cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or a cozy snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sour cream. Mix until well combined.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
