Description

Creamy, cheesy, and cozy, Marry Me Stuffed Shells are baked pasta shells filled with a rich ricotta blend and smothered in a velvety tomato cream sauce. Perfect for weeknights, date nights, or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 to 24 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 ½ cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cups tomato sauce
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ricotta, 1 ½ cups mozzarella, parmesan, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until creamy and well-blended.
  3. In a saucepan, heat olive oil. Add tomato sauce and heavy cream, stirring until warmed and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Spread a layer of sauce in the bottom of the baking dish. Fill each pasta shell with the cheese mixture and place them in the dish, open side up.
  5. Pour the remaining sauce over the shells. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and broil for 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped basil and serve.

Notes

  • Use a piping bag or zip-top bag to stuff the shells easily.
  • Make the sauce ahead to save time and deepen flavor.
  • Let the dish rest before serving so the sauce thickens.
  • Undercook shells slightly to keep them firm while baking.
