Description

These Mexican Patty Wraps are stuffed with spiced ground beef, melty cheddar, fresh tomatoes, and herbs, all wrapped in golden crisped tortillas for a handheld meal that’s bold, comforting, and quick to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat until hot.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef with cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in onions and tomatoes.
  3. Add beef mixture to skillet and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 7–10 minutes.
  4. Lay out tortillas. Add a generous spoonful of beef mixture, sprinkle with cheese, add cilantro and a dollop of sour cream. Fold tightly into a wrap.
  5. Return wraps to skillet seam-side down and press slightly. Cook each side for 2–3 minutes until golden and crisp.
  6. Let wraps rest for a minute before slicing. Optional: garnish with extra cilantro or a squeeze of lime.
  7. Serve warm with chips, salsa, or a light salad on the side.

Notes

  • Warm tortillas before wrapping to prevent cracking.
  • Use a cast-iron skillet for an extra crispy exterior.
  • Customize fillings with beans, veggies, or other proteins.
  • Store leftovers in foil and reheat on a skillet for best results.
