Description

A classic Michigan favorite, this Olive Burger combines juicy beef patties with a creamy green olive topping for a tangy, briny twist that sets it apart from any other burger.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup green olives, pitted and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 small yellow onion, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  3. Lightly oil the skillet or grill pan to prevent sticking.
  4. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until desired doneness. Meanwhile, mix chopped olives, mayonnaise, and minced onion in a bowl.
  5. Toast buns lightly to add texture.
  6. Assemble burgers by layering lettuce, a tomato slice, and the cooked patty on each bun. Spread the olive mixture generously on the top bun.
  7. Press together, serve hot, and enjoy.

Notes

  • Chill patties before cooking to help them hold shape.
  • Brioche buns add extra richness and flavor.
