A classic Michigan favorite, this Olive Burger combines juicy beef patties with a creamy green olive topping for a tangy, briny twist that sets it apart from any other burger.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup green olives, pitted and finely chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 small yellow onion, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 burger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
Instructions
- Preheat your skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat until hot.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
- Lightly oil the skillet or grill pan to prevent sticking.
- Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until desired doneness. Meanwhile, mix chopped olives, mayonnaise, and minced onion in a bowl.
- Toast buns lightly to add texture.
- Assemble burgers by layering lettuce, a tomato slice, and the cooked patty on each bun. Spread the olive mixture generously on the top bun.
- Press together, serve hot, and enjoy.
Notes
- Chill patties before cooking to help them hold shape.
- Brioche buns add extra richness and flavor.
- Olive spread can be made a day in advance and refrigerated.
