Description

A rich, creamy Nutella tart with a buttery toasted hazelnut crust, perfect for chocolate lovers and easy to make ahead for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup hazelnuts, toasted and finely chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups Nutella
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chopped hazelnuts for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch tart pan.
  2. In a food processor, pulse toasted hazelnuts until finely ground. Add flour, brown sugar, and salt. Pulse to combine.
  3. Add cold butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into the tart pan, covering the base and sides evenly.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let the crust cool completely.
  6. In a bowl, mix Nutella, heavy cream, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Pour filling into cooled crust and spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts and a pinch of sea salt if desired.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use a serrated knife dipped in hot water for clean slices.
  • Chill overnight for best texture and flavor.
  • Can be made ahead and stored up to 4 days in the fridge.
