Description

A classic homemade pepperoni pie with a golden crust, rich tomato sauce, melted mozzarella, and perfectly crisped pepperoni slices, simple, comforting, and full of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball pizza dough (about 250 grams)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C.
  2. Lightly oil the dough and let it rest at room temperature.
  3. Grease a baking pan with olive oil.
  4. Roll out the dough and place it in the pan. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the surface.
  5. Add shredded mozzarella cheese, then arrange the pepperoni slices on top.
  6. Sprinkle dried oregano and salt evenly.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  8. Remove from the oven and drizzle a little olive oil on top.
  9. Let it rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • Use room temperature dough for easier shaping.
  • Avoid adding too much sauce to keep the crust crisp.
  • Freshly shredded cheese melts better than pre-packaged.
  • Let the pie rest before slicing for clean cuts.
