Description

Philly Cheesesteak Bell Pepper Bites are a low-carb alternative to the classic Philly cheesesteak. Tender bell peppers are stuffed with seasoned beef, onions, and melted cheese, creating a delicious, bite-sized version of this iconic sandwich.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large bell peppers, cut into halves and seeds removed
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced (or use ground beef as an alternative)
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup provolone cheese or American cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional, for added flavor)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 4 minutes.
  3. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak (or ground beef) to the skillet. Season with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until the meat is browned and fully cooked, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Place the halved bell peppers on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
  5. Spoon the cooked beef and onion mixture into the bell pepper halves.
  6. Top each stuffed pepper with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley (optional) and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add sliced jalapeños to the beef mixture or top with hot sauce.
  • You can substitute the provolone with other cheeses like mozzarella or cheddar for different flavors.
  • Serve with a side of ranch or marinara sauce for dipping.
