Description

A creamy, rich Southern-style pimento cheese dip made with sharp cheddar, smooth cream cheese, and sweet pimentos, perfect for dipping, spreading, and sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 ounces diced pimentos, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Allow the cream cheese to sit at room temperature until fully softened.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and mayonnaise and mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Switch to a spatula and gently fold in the shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
  4. Add the drained diced pimentos and stir until evenly distributed.
  5. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt, then mix until fully combined.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Stir gently before serving and enjoy.

Notes

  • For best texture, always use freshly shredded cheese.
  • Chilling the dip improves flavor and consistency.
  • Stir before serving to refresh the creaminess.
