Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Pie is a comforting, savory dish that combines all the flavors of a cheeseburger in a pie form. Made with ground beef, cheese, and a biscuit-like topping, it’s a family-friendly weeknight dinner that’s quick and satisfying.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup Bisquick or all-purpose baking mix
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- Optional: ketchup, mustard, pickles for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess fat. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into a greased 9-inch pie dish. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together Bisquick, milk, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the meat and cheese in the pie dish.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Serve with ketchup, mustard, or pickles if desired.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Top with additional cheese during the last 5 minutes of baking for an extra cheesy finish.
- Leftovers reheat well in the oven or microwave.
