Description

Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Pie is a comforting, savory dish that combines all the flavors of a cheeseburger in a pie form. Made with ground beef, cheese, and a biscuit-like topping, it’s a family-friendly weeknight dinner that’s quick and satisfying.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick or all-purpose baking mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Optional: ketchup, mustard, pickles for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess fat. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread the beef mixture evenly into a greased 9-inch pie dish. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together Bisquick, milk, and eggs until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter over the meat and cheese in the pie dish.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Serve with ketchup, mustard, or pickles if desired.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Top with additional cheese during the last 5 minutes of baking for an extra cheesy finish.
  • Leftovers reheat well in the oven or microwave.
