Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon pistachio flour (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Extra powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in vanilla extract, flour, and salt until a dough forms. Gently fold in the chopped pistachios.
  4. Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the bars cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once cooled, dust with extra powdered sugar if desired and cut into bars. Serve and enjoy!
