- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, chopped
- 1 tablespoon pistachio flour (optional, for extra flavor)
- Extra powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in vanilla extract, flour, and salt until a dough forms. Gently fold in the chopped pistachios.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, dust with extra powdered sugar if desired and cut into bars. Serve and enjoy!
