Description

A Pizza Burger combines the juicy beefiness of a burger with the saucy, cheesy goodness of pizza. It’s a flavorful, indulgent twist that’s perfect for satisfying two cravings in one.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 16 slices of pepperoni (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter (for toasting buns)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Form into 4 equal patties.
  3. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast the buns with olive oil or butter until golden.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with 1–2 tbsp pizza sauce, 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, and 4 slices of pepperoni.
  6. Cover the pan or close the grill to melt the cheese.
  7. Sprinkle with oregano and place each patty on a toasted bun.
  8. Serve hot with extra pizza sauce if desired.

Notes

  • Use turkey or plant-based patties for a lighter or vegetarian version.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers for extra flavor.
  • Try garlic butter on the buns for more of a pizzeria feel.
