- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg (white for dough, yolk for brushing)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and mashed
- 1/2 cup feta cheese or white cheese, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
- Sesame seeds or nigella seeds (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Add yogurt, milk, oil, and egg white. Knead into a soft dough.
- In another bowl, mix mashed potatoes, cheese, and parsley for the filling. Season to taste.
- Divide dough into equal pieces, flatten each, and place a spoonful of filling in the center. Seal and shape into round or oval rolls.
- Place rolls on the baking tray, brush with egg yolk, and sprinkle with sesame or nigella seeds.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- You can use different cheeses or add sautéed onions for variation.
- These rolls freeze well—just reheat before serving.
