Description

Crispy toasted baguette slices topped with a creamy pumpkin and cream cheese spread, garnished with crispy sage and a touch of balsamic glaze for the perfect fall appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 20 pieces
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1012 fresh sage leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Balsamic glaze, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, softened cream cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Arrange baguette slices on the baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
  4. Toast the baguette slices in the oven for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp.
  5. In a small skillet, fry sage leaves in olive oil for about 10 seconds per side, then transfer to paper towels.
  6. Spread each toasted baguette slice with the pumpkin mixture.
  7. Top with a crispy sage leaf and drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.
