Description

Raspberry Jam Oat Bars are a delightful treat combining a buttery oat crust and crumbly topping with a sweet and tangy raspberry jam filling. These bars make a perfect snack or dessert with a wholesome texture and vibrant fruit flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup raspberry jam
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease or line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter and vanilla extract, stirring until mixture is crumbly but holds together when pressed.
  4. Press about two-thirds of the oat mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  5. Spread raspberry jam evenly over the crust layer.
  6. Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the jam layer.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars to set properly.

Notes

  • Use your favorite flavor of jam or preserve as a substitute for raspberry.
  • For added texture, mix in 1/4 cup chopped nuts or shredded coconut.
  • Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
