Description

A rich and fluffy frosting made with Cool Whip, peanut butter, chocolate pudding, and crushed Reese’s, perfect for cakes, cupcakes, or as a dip.


Ingredients

  • 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup crushed Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk the chocolate pudding mix with cold milk until it thickens slightly, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add peanut butter and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Stir in crushed Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before using to allow it to firm up.
  6. Use as a frosting for cakes, cupcakes, brownies, or as a dessert dip. Top with additional crushed Reese’s if desired.

Notes

  • Make sure the Cool Whip is fully thawed for easier mixing.
  • You can substitute chocolate pudding with vanilla or peanut butter flavored pudding for variations.
  • This frosting holds up best when chilled.
