Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cooked small shrimp, chopped
- 1 cup lump crab meat (drained and picked over)
- 2 cups fresh spinach (or 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until soft, about 3–4 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook another 30 seconds.
- Add spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted (if using fresh). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
- Stir in the cooked onion-spinach mixture, chopped shrimp, crab meat, mozzarella, Parmesan, Old Bay, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for a golden top, if desired.
- Serve warm with bread, chips, or crackers.
Notes
- Make ahead: Prepare the dip a day in advance and bake just before serving.
- For extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños.
- Use high-quality lump crab for the best flavor and texture.
