Description

Golden, crispy shrimp tossed with garlic, salt, and black pepper for a bold and satisfying dish that is quick to prepare and full of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium high heat until hot.
  2. Pat the shrimp dry thoroughly and coat evenly with cornstarch.
  3. Test the oil with a small piece to ensure it is hot enough for frying.
  4. Add shrimp in small batches and fry for 2 to 3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  6. In a separate pan, sauté minced garlic and chopped green onions until fragrant.
  7. Add the fried shrimp to the pan and toss with salt and black pepper.
  8. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

  • Make sure shrimp are completely dry before coating for best crispiness
  • Do not overcrowd the pan while frying
