- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 stalks green onions, chopped
- 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium high heat until hot.
- Pat the shrimp dry thoroughly and coat evenly with cornstarch.
- Test the oil with a small piece to ensure it is hot enough for frying.
- Add shrimp in small batches and fry for 2 to 3 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- In a separate pan, sauté minced garlic and chopped green onions until fragrant.
- Add the fried shrimp to the pan and toss with salt and black pepper.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
