- 1 bag (about 500g) waffle fries
- 2 slices of bread, toasted until golden and crisp
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1½ teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
- Spread fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with the oil mixture and toss to coat.
- Toast bread until deeply golden. Let cool, then crumble into coarse bits.
- Bake or air fry the fries for 20–25 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
- As soon as fries are done, sprinkle with toasted crumbs and parsley.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

- Use day-old bread for better texture.
- Cracked black pepper adds bold flavor and texture.
- Air fryer gives an even crisper result.
- Pair with garlic aioli or spicy ketchup for dipping.
