- 1 sleeve buttery round crackers (like Ritz)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (melted)
- Optional: coarse sea salt for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture starts to bubble. Continue to cook and stir for 2–3 more minutes until thickened slightly.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.
- Spoon the caramel mixture over each cracker, spreading gently to cover the surface.
- Bake for 5–7 minutes, until caramel is bubbly and crackers are golden.
- Remove from oven and drizzle melted chocolate over each bite. Sprinkle with additional sea salt if desired.
- Let cool completely before serving or storing.
Notes
- Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor or white chocolate for a sweeter twist.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- Add chopped nuts on top for extra crunch.
