Description
Golden, flaky roll-ups filled with savory sausage, soft scrambled eggs, and melty cheddar, perfect for make-ahead breakfasts or busy mornings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough, 8 ounces
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons whole milk
- 8 fully cooked breakfast sausage links
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk the eggs with milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and softly scramble the egg mixture until just set, then remove from heat.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles on a clean surface.
- Place a spoonful of scrambled eggs near the wide end of each triangle, add 1 sausage link, and sprinkle with cheddar.
- Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip, tucking the sides as you go, and place seam side down on the prepared sheet.
- Brush the tops lightly with melted butter for a golden finish.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until puffed and deep golden, then cool 3 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For softer eggs, pull them off the heat when slightly glossy, they will finish cooking in the oven.
- Do not overfill, keeping fillings modest helps the rolls seal and bake evenly.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top before baking.
- Air fryer option, cook at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, checking at 7 minutes.
