- 500 grams ground lamb
- 800 grams potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, then mash with butter and milk until smooth.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook onion and garlic until fragrant, then add ground lamb and cook until browned.
- Stir in carrots, peas, tomato paste, and beef broth. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Transfer mixture to a baking dish and spread mashed potatoes evenly on top.
- Bake for 25 minutes until golden and slightly crisp on top.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
