Description
A light and refreshing skinny watermelon margarita made with fresh watermelon, lime juice, tequila, and a hint of natural sweetness—perfect for summer sipping without the extra calories.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh watermelon, cubed and seeded
- 1 1/2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz orange liqueur (or fresh orange juice for lower calories)
- 1/2 tsp agave syrup or honey (optional, to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Salt or Tajín, for rimming the glass (optional)
- Lime wedge and watermelon slice, for garnish
Instructions
- Place watermelon cubes in a blender and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if desired for a smoother texture.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 4 oz of watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave syrup (if using). Add ice and shake well.
- Rim a glass with salt or Tajín if desired. Fill with ice.
- Strain the margarita into the prepared glass and garnish with a lime wedge and a small watermelon slice.
Notes
- Use fresh, ripe watermelon for the best natural sweetness.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less agave syrup based on taste.
- To make it a frozen margarita, blend all ingredients with ice instead of shaking.
