Description

This Spaghetti Grilled Cheese sandwich is a delicious and creative way to reinvent leftover spaghetti. Cheesy, crispy, and stuffed with saucy pasta, it’s a comfort food mashup you didn’t know you needed!


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup leftover spaghetti (with sauce)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread. If using Parmesan, press it into the buttered sides for extra flavor and crunch.
  3. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer with half the cheese, then evenly spread the spaghetti over it. Top with the remaining cheese and the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  5. Grill for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from heat, let sit for 1 minute, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use any kind of leftover spaghetti—meat, marinara, or veggie-based sauces work great.
  • Try adding fresh basil or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
  • For extra crispiness, grill the sandwich slowly over medium-low heat.
