Description

A quick and flavorful broccoli stir-fry tossed in a spicy chili garlic sauce. Perfect as a side dish or served over rice for a light, satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, rice vinegar, honey, water, and cornstarch (if using). Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  5. Pour in the sauce mixture and toss to coat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For a heartier meal, add tofu, shrimp, or chicken.
  • Adjust the chili garlic sauce to your preferred spice level.
  • Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete dish.
