Description

Juicy steak and melty cheese layered in soft slider buns, brushed with garlic butter and baked until golden. These Steak and Cheese Sliders are quick, comforting, and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak
  • 12 dinner rolls or slider buns
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Add onions and peppers, cooking until soft.
  3. Add steak to the skillet, cook until browned. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
  4. Slice the rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
  5. Layer with half the provolone, the steak and veggie mixture, shredded cheddar, and remaining provolone. Top with bun tops.
  6. Melt the remaining butter and mix with garlic powder. Brush over the tops of the buns.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5 to 7 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  8. Let rest a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Lightly toast buns before assembling to prevent sogginess.
  • Use shaved steak or deli beef if short on time.
  • Add mushrooms or jalapeños for extra flavor.
