- 1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup (30g) powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (100g) strawberry jam or preserves
- 1/2 cup (60g) diced fresh strawberries
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and heavy cream until smooth and fluffy. Fold in the strawberry jam and diced strawberries. Chill until ready to use.
- Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the biscuit dough in batches for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and let cool slightly.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze. Set aside.
- Fill a piping bag fitted with a round tip with the cheesecake filling. Insert into each donut and fill generously.
- Dip the tops of the donuts into the glaze and place on a rack to set.
- Serve immediately for best taste.
Notes
- Ensure the oil is at the correct temperature to avoid greasy donuts.
- Use store-bought or homemade strawberry jam for the filling.
- These donuts are best enjoyed fresh on the same day.
