Description

Sushi Tacos are a fun and fresh fusion dish combining crispy taco shells with classic sushi fillings like fresh fish, avocado, and crunchy vegetables for a handheld sushi experience.


Ingredients

  • 4 small crispy taco shells (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup sushi rice, cooked and seasoned
  • 6 oz sushi-grade salmon or tuna, diced
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup cucumber, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Pickled ginger and wasabi for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare sushi rice according to package instructions and season with rice vinegar. Let cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix diced fish with soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions.
  3. If desired, mix mayonnaise and sriracha to make a spicy mayo sauce.
  4. Fill each crispy taco shell with a layer of sushi rice.
  5. Top with the marinated fish, avocado slices, and cucumber.
  6. Drizzle with spicy mayo if using, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately with pickled ginger and wasabi on the side.
