Description
These taco cheeseburgers combine everything you love about burgers and tacos in one crispy, cheesy, flavor-packed handheld meal. They’re quick to make, endlessly customizable, and perfect for casual dinners or fun gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat until hot.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with taco seasoning until well combined. Form into 6 equal patties.
- Lightly oil the skillet to prevent sticking. Place the patties on and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and browned.
- Lay each tortilla flat, sprinkle half with shredded cheese, add a patty, then top with lettuce, tomato, onion, and a dollop of sour cream.
- Fold the tortillas over the filling like a taco and return to the skillet. Press lightly and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until the cheese melts and the tortilla is golden and crisp.
- Remove from skillet, let rest for 1 minute, then cut in half if desired for easier handling.
- Plate up with extra sour cream or salsa on the side and serve warm.
Notes
- Warm the tortillas before assembling to prevent cracking.
- Let patties rest after cooking to retain juices.
- Use a press or second pan to gently flatten the taco during final skillet step.
- Don’t overfill to keep everything neat and crispy.
