Description
This bold and creamy Texas Trash Dip is a Tex-Mex favorite layered with refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, and plenty of melty cheese. Perfect for game days, parties, or anytime you’re craving something warm and cheesy.

- 2 cans (15 oz each) refried beans
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1½ cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chiles, drained
- ½ cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine refried beans, softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning until smooth.
- Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Spread the bean mixture evenly into the dish.
- Top with shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses.
- Add diced green chiles and sprinkle chopped green onions on top.
- Bake uncovered for 25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips or veggies.
Notes
- Use freshly shredded cheese for better melt and flavor.
- You can prepare the dish ahead of time and bake just before serving.
- Leftovers can be used in quesadillas, stuffed peppers, or casseroles.
