Description

A bold twist on the classic burger, the Paratha Smash Burger replaces buns with flaky parathas and stacks juicy, crispy-edged smash patties, melted cheddar, and spicy mayo for an indulgent, flavor-packed bite.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground Beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 4 slices Cheddar Cheese
  • 4 Frozen Parathas
  • 1 small Red Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tomato, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons Spicy Mayo
  • A handful of Fresh Cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil or Ghee

Instructions

  1. Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until smoking hot.
  2. In a bowl, season ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide into 4 equal balls.
  3. Add oil or ghee to the skillet. Cook parathas until golden on both sides, then set aside.
  4. Place beef balls in the skillet and smash flat. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, adding cheese after flipping.
  5. Spread spicy mayo on one side of each paratha.
  6. Assemble each burger with one patty, onion slices, tomato, and cilantro between two parathas.
  7. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Use ghee instead of oil for a richer flavor.
  • Pre-toast parathas to keep them from going soggy.
  • Swap cheddar with your favorite melting cheese.
