Description

Tuna Tostadas are a vibrant and refreshing Mexican appetizer or light meal made with crispy tostada shells topped with seasoned tuna, creamy avocado, and zesty garnishes.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna in water, drained
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: sliced jalapeños, hot sauce, shredded lettuce, crumbled queso fresco

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the drained tuna with mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chopped red onion, tomato, avocado, and cilantro to the tuna mixture and gently stir to combine.
  3. Lay out the tostada shells on a serving platter or plate.
  4. Spoon the tuna mixture evenly onto each tostada shell.
  5. Top with optional garnishes such as jalapeños, hot sauce, shredded lettuce, or queso fresco if desired.
