Ingredients
- Graham Cracker Crumbs: 1 and 1/2 cups
- Unsalted Butter: 1/2 cup (melted)
- Cream Cheese: 24 ounces (room temp)
- Granulated Sugar: 1 cup
- Eggs: 3 large
- Sour Cream: 1/2 cup
- Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
- Mascarpone Cheese: 8 ounces
- Heavy Whipping Cream: 3/4 cup
- Espresso or Strong Coffee: 1/2 cup (cooled)
- Ladyfinger Cookies: 8–10 (crushed)
- Cocoa Powder: For dusting
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Place a rack in the center.
- Combine Ingredients: Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press into a greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake 10 minutes, let cool. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar. Add eggs, sour cream, vanilla, and fold in mascarpone.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Pour half the batter, drizzle espresso, add crushed ladyfingers. Repeat with remaining batter and espresso.
- Assemble the Dish: Wrap the pan in foil, place in larger dish, fill outer dish halfway with hot water.
- Cook to Perfection: Bake for 50–60 minutes. Let cool in oven with door cracked for 1 hour.
- Finishing Touches: Chill at least 6 hours. Top with whipped cream and cocoa powder before serving.
- Serve and Enjoy: Slice with warm knife and enjoy the velvety layers.
