Description

A creative appetizer version of the classic wedge salad, served on skewers with crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, smoky bacon, and blue cheese, drizzled with creamy dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/4 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • Fresh chives, chopped (optional)
  • 8 wooden skewers or large toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: wash and chop lettuce, halve tomatoes if large, and cook bacon until crisp.
  2. Thread a chunk of lettuce, a cherry tomato, and a piece of bacon onto each skewer.
  3. Repeat layering if skewers are long enough, finishing with a piece of lettuce or tomato.
  4. Arrange skewers on a platter and sprinkle with blue cheese crumbles.
  5. Drizzle with dressing just before serving and garnish with chopped chives if desired.

Notes

  • Keep lettuce chunks large enough to stay on skewers but small enough to bite comfortably.
  • Use thick-cut bacon for better texture.
  • Serve dressing on the side if preferred, for dipping.
