Description
A creative appetizer version of the classic wedge salad, served on skewers with crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, smoky bacon, and blue cheese, drizzled with creamy dressing.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, cut into bite-sized chunks
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- 6 slices cooked bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
- 1/4 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
- Fresh chives, chopped (optional)
- 8 wooden skewers or large toothpicks
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: wash and chop lettuce, halve tomatoes if large, and cook bacon until crisp.
- Thread a chunk of lettuce, a cherry tomato, and a piece of bacon onto each skewer.
- Repeat layering if skewers are long enough, finishing with a piece of lettuce or tomato.
- Arrange skewers on a platter and sprinkle with blue cheese crumbles.
- Drizzle with dressing just before serving and garnish with chopped chives if desired.
Notes
- Keep lettuce chunks large enough to stay on skewers but small enough to bite comfortably.
- Use thick-cut bacon for better texture.
- Serve dressing on the side if preferred, for dipping.
