Description

Rich and fudgy chocolate cookies with crackly tops and gooey centers, combining the best of brownies and cookies in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips evenly.
  6. Scoop the dough onto the prepared tray, spacing evenly.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  8. Let cool on the tray for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overbake to keep the cookies fudgy.
  • Chill the dough for thicker cookies if desired.
  • Add a pinch of flaky salt on top before baking for extra flavor.
