- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips evenly.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared tray, spacing evenly.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Let cool on the tray for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Do not overbake to keep the cookies fudgy.
- Chill the dough for thicker cookies if desired.
- Add a pinch of flaky salt on top before baking for extra flavor.
