- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Place a large pot over medium heat.
- Heat olive oil, add chopped onion and cook until soft, then add garlic and stir.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in tomato paste, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour in beef broth and mix well.
- Let the chili simmer gently for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
