- 2 cups uncooked long grain white rice
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced

- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to package instructions using chicken broth instead of water.
- Season chicken thighs with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook chicken thighs for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown, then remove from skillet.
- Add sliced onions to the skillet and cook until soft and lightly caramelized.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Sprinkle flour over the onions and whisk well.
- Slowly whisk in heavy cream until the gravy becomes smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon gravy over the top.
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve over warm rice.
Notes
- Use freshly cracked black pepper for deeper flavor.
- Add mushrooms for extra richness and texture.
- If the gravy becomes too thick, add a splash of chicken broth.
