Description

Cotton Candy Cheesecake is a whimsical, sweet dessert that combines the creamy richness of cheesecake with the nostalgic flavor of cotton candy. A perfect treat for parties or a fun, colorful twist on traditional cheesecake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup cotton candy sugar (or cotton candy flavoring)
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
  • Additional cotton candy, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the sugar and beat until combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream.
  5. Mix in the cotton candy sugar or flavoring until fully incorporated, creating a light pink color.
  6. Pour the cheesecake mixture into the cooled crust and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly jiggles when shaken. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour.
  8. After the cheesecake has cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.
  9. Before serving, top the cheesecake with whipped cream and cotton candy for garnish, if desired.

Notes

  • For the cotton candy flavor, you can use flavored sugar or liquid cotton candy concentrate available at specialty stores.
  • Allow the cheesecake to fully set in the refrigerator for the best texture.
  • Make sure to use room temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps in the cheesecake filling.
