- 1 lb flank or sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic, black pepper, paprika, and salt.
- Add steak strips to the marinade and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 20 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the fridge).
- Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface.
- Place steak strips in the hot pan in a single layer (do this in batches if needed). Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until seared and cooked to desired doneness.
- Remove from heat, let rest for 2 minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
Notes
- For best results, slice steak against the grain for extra tenderness.
- Double the marinade to use some as a sauce after boiling it separately.
- Serve with rice, quinoa, or roasted vegetables.
