Description

A comforting one-pan dish featuring tender roasted chicken baked over creamy, flavorful noodles infused with herbs and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 600 grams chicken pieces
  • 250 grams egg noodles
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chicken broth, heavy cream, minced garlic, thyme, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Grease a large baking dish with butter.
  4. Add egg noodles, chopped onion, and sliced carrots to the dish, then pour the liquid mixture over and gently mix.
  5. Place chicken pieces on top of the mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the top is lightly golden.
  7. Let the dish rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overcook noodles before baking as they will soften in the oven.
  • Let the dish rest before serving to allow the sauce to thicken.
  • You can substitute vegetables based on preference.
