Description

Silky fresh salmon crudo topped with vibrant citrus slices, fresh herbs, and a savory citrus soy dressing. This elegant no-cook appetizer is light, refreshing, and packed with bright flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh sushi-grade salmon, thinly sliced
  • 1 small orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 small lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Chill serving plates in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes before assembling the dish.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, black pepper, and half of the sesame seeds until combined.
  3. Pat the salmon dry gently if needed and arrange the thin slices on the chilled serving plate in slightly overlapping layers.
  4. Tuck the orange, lemon, and lime slices between the salmon pieces for color and brightness.
  5. Drizzle the citrus soy dressing evenly over the salmon just before serving.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining sesame seeds, flaky sea salt, chopped cilantro, and green onions over the top.
  7. Serve immediately while chilled and fresh.

Notes

  • Use only sushi-grade salmon from a trusted seafood source.
  • Slice the salmon while slightly chilled for cleaner cuts.
  • Assemble the dish shortly before serving for the freshest texture.
  • Add thin jalapeño slices if you prefer a spicy version.
