Description

Fresh and flavorful salmon fish tacos loaded with flaky seasoned salmon, crunchy cabbage, creamy avocado, and a zesty homemade sauce wrapped in warm corn tortillas.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds fresh salmon fillets, skin removed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 2 cups thinly shredded purple cabbage
  • 2 sliced avocados
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 limes cut into wedges
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and warm the tortillas separately.
  2. In a small bowl, combine chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the salmon fillets.
  4. Add olive oil to the skillet and cook the salmon for 4 to 5 minutes per side until flaky and fully cooked.
  5. In another bowl, stir together Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lime juice, and hot sauce to make the sauce.
  6. Flake the cooked salmon into chunks.
  7. Fill warm tortillas with salmon, shredded cabbage, avocado slices, cilantro, and creamy sauce.
  8. Serve immediately with lime wedges.

  • Warm tortillas right before serving for the best texture.
  • Fresh lime juice makes the tacos taste brighter and fresher.
  • Store leftover salmon in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
