Description

- 2 cups fresh sweet cherries, pitted
- 3 black tea bags
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 4 cups water, divided
Instructions
- Place a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add cherries and 2 cups of water to the saucepan.
- Simmer gently for 10 minutes until cherries soften.
- Lightly mash the cherries and strain the liquid into a pitcher.
- Add tea bags to the pitcher and pour in 2 cups of hot water, then steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and stir in sugar until fully dissolved.
- Add lemon slices and mix gently.
- Chill in the refrigerator or serve over ice.
Notes
- Use ripe cherries for the best flavor and color.
- Do not over-steep the tea to avoid bitterness.
- Adjust sweetness based on preference.
