- 4 medium zucchini, sliced into rounds
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, chili flakes, sugar, and cornstarch slurry.
- Add vegetable oil to the pan and let it heat up.
- Add minced garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
- Add zucchini slices and stir fry for 5 to 7 minutes until slightly tender with light browning.
- Pour in the sauce and stir well until it thickens and coats the zucchini.
- Add sesame oil and chopped green onions, then mix.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcook zucchini to avoid mushy texture
- Cook on medium-high heat for better caramelization
- Add sesame oil at the end for best flavor
- Adjust chili flakes based on spice preference
